December 30, 1996 - Vancouver - Micrologix Biotech Inc. today reported a net loss of $880,619 or $0.05 per common share for the quarter ended October 31, 1996, compared to a net loss of $710,450 or $0.04 per common share for the quarter ended July 31, 1996 and a net loss of $571,380 or $0.06 per common share for the quarter ended October 31, 1995.

October 1, 1996 - Vancouver - Micrologix Biotech Inc. today reported a net loss of $710,450 or $0.04 per common share for the three months ended July 31,1996, compared to a net loss of $479,193 or $0.05 per common share for same period in 1995.

September 26, 1996 - Vancouver - Micrologix Biotech Inc. announced today results from pre-clinical studies demonstrating that following intravenous administration, a peptide antibiotic under development by the company, can control lethal systemic bacterial infections in animal models of human disease.

September 25, 1996 - Vancouver - Vancouver, Canada - Micrologix Biotech Inc. announced today it has raised $5.75 million through the exercise of common share purchase warrants that were issued as part of a private placement in September 1994. A total of 2,257,204 common shares were issued this month pursuant to the exercise of the warrants. This funding brings the Company's cash position to approximately $17.8 million and the number of common shares outstanding to 20,202,961.

September 18, 1996 - Vancouver - Micrologix Biotech Inc. today reported a net loss of $2,250,615 or $0.19 per common share for the year ended April 30,1996, compared to a net loss of $1,393,810 or $0.16 per common share for same period in 1995.

August 9, 1996 - Vancouver - Mr. William J. (Bud) Foran, Chairman of Micrologix Biotech Inc. (MBI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Steven Gillis to the Company's Board of Directors.

June 11, 1996 - Vancouver - Mr. William J. (Bud) Foran, the Chairman of Micrologix Biotech Inc., today announced the appointment of Mr. Dany Hadary as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, effective July 1, 1996.

June 3, 1996 - Vancouver - Micrologix Biotech Inc. announced today that early-stage animal studies have shown that several of the company's novel antibiotics are effective in treating lethal bacterial infections.

March 26, 1996 - Vancouver - Micrologix Biotech Inc. today released the results of in vitro studies which demonstrate the activity of the company's novel peptide antibiotics against clinical isolates of multi-drug resistant bacteria.

February 27, 1996 - Vancouver - The common shares of Micrologix Biotech Inc. were listed and began trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange today under the trading symbol "MBI".

February 22, 1996 - Vancouver - Arthur J. Ayres, Secretary of Micrologix Biotech Inc., is pleased to announce the conditional approval for the listing of MBI's common shares on the Toronto Stock Exchange. The Company will announce further details once they become available.
