December 30, 1997 - Vancouver - Micrologix Biotech Inc. today reported a net loss of $2,184,356 or $0.09 per common share for the six months ended October 31, 1997, compared to a net loss of $1,591,069 or $0.09 per common share for six months ended October 31, 1996.

September 29, 1997 - Vancouver - Micrologix Biotech Inc. today reported a net loss of $951,375 or $0.04 per common share for the quarter ended July 31, 1997, compared to net losses of $710,450 or $0.04 per common share for the same period in 1996 and $1,068,798 or $0.04 per common share for the quarter ended April 30, 1997.

September 23, 1997 - Vancouver - Micrologix Biotech Inc. announced today that it has engaged Lehman Brothers Inc. to advise and assist Micrologix on its strategic development, particularly with respect to the licensing of Micrologix' technologies and products and the establishment of partnerships with multi-national pharmaceutical companies.

September 17, 1997 - Vancouver - Micrologix Biotech Inc. and the British Columbia Cancer Agency (BCCA) announced today a research collaboration, funded by Micrologix and the Medical Research Council of Canada, to further study the anti-cancer therapeutic potential of Micrologix' proprietary peptides.

August 20, 1997 - Vancouver - Micrologix Biotech Inc. today reported a net loss of $3,690,898 or $0.18 per common share for the year ended April 30, 1997, compared to a net loss of $2,250,615 or $0.19 per common share for the year ended April 30, 1996.

June 9, 1997 - Vancouver - Micrologix Biotech Inc. today announced that it has developed an Enhancin peptide capable of restoring the antibiotic activity of vancomycin against clinical isolates of the "super-bug" known as vancomycin-resistant enterococcus (VRE).

May 12, 1997 - Vancouver - Micrologix Biotech Inc. today announced the signing with the University of Victoria's Innovation and Development Corporation (IDC) of an exclusive world-wide license for an enabling technology useful in the production of anti-infective peptides.

April 1, 1997 - Vancouver - Micrologix Biotech Inc. today reported a net loss of $1,031,031 or $0.05 per common share for the quarter ended January 31, 1997, compared to a net loss of $880,619 or $0.05 per common share for the quarter ended October 31, 1996 and a net loss of $390,391 or $0.05 per common share for the quarter ended January 31, 1996.

March 12, 1997 - Vancouver - Micrologix Biotech Inc. announced today it has raised $7.5 million through the exercise of common share purchase warrants that were issued as part of a private placement in September 1995.

January 27, 1997 - Vancouver - A U.S. patent (No. 5,593,866) has been issued for a manufacturing technology under development by Micrologix Biotech Inc., enabling the production of new antibiotics aimed at curing infectious diseases caused by drug-resistant bacteria.
