December 16, 1999 - Vancouver, CANADA, December 16, 1999 - Micrologix Biotech Inc. today reported a net loss of $3,869,464 or $0.17 per common share for the six months ended October 31, 1999, compared to a net loss of $3,119,239 or $0.14 per common share for six months ended October 31, 1998.
October 29, 1999 - Vancouver, October 29, 1999 - Micrologix Biotech Inc. is pleased to announce the completion of its $15 million "bought deal" financing which closed on August 26, 1999. The Company has successfully obtained receipts for a final prospectus filed in Ontario, British Columbia and Saskatchewan and the net proceeds from the financing have been released from escrow to the Company.
September 29, 1999 - Vancouver, September 29, 1999 - Micrologix is pleased to announce the commencement of a two-part US Phase II clinical trial as part of the fast track development program of MBI 226 for the prevention of central venous catheter-related bloodstream infection.

The net proceeds of the financing are being held in escrow until such time as the Company receives all necessary approvals, including shareholder approval, and obtains receipts for a final prospectus.

Inc. today reported a net loss of $6,506,709 or $0.28 per common share for the year ended April 30, 1999, compared to a net loss of $5,381,255 or $0.23 per common share for the year ended April 30, 1998. The net loss for the three months ended April 30, 1999 was $1,776,559 or $0.08 per common share compared to a net loss of $1,822,034 or $0.08 per common share for the same period in 1998.
April 27, 1999 - Vancouver, April 27, 1999 - Micrologix Biotech
Inc. is pleased to announce that it has successfully completed a two-part Phase I human clinical trial of MBI 226, its lead Bactolysin drug candidate for preventing bloodstream infections in patients undergoing central venous catheterization. The study showed that MBI 226 is safe and well tolerated, eliminates 99.9% of bacteria commonly found on the skin and prevents bacterial growth on catheters. We will present these results to the United States FDA and intend to initiate Phase II clinical trials in the second half of this year.
