Of the 75 patients enrolled, 55 have already completed treatment. The last subjects should complete treatment in mid-September, with results from the trial expected before the end of November 2001. These antimicrobial peptides and their derivatives claimed in patents numbered 6,180,604 and 6,191,254 include the Company's three drug candidates currently in clinical trials in the United States.
