MIGENIX is focused on the development of drugs to treat or prevent
infectious, degenerative and metabolic diseases. MIGENIX currently has five compounds in clinical development:

MX-3253 (celgosivir)
is a novel, oral antiviral agent under development for the treatment of chronic
Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) infection. MIGENIX obtained Health Canada CTA approval
to initiate a Phase IIa study in HCV patients in September 2004 and is currently
enrolling patients.

MX-226 is a novel,
topical antibiotic for the prevention of catheter-related infections. A Phase III clinical trial of MX-226 was completed in
July 2003. MX-226 is partnered with Cadence Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in North
America and Europe. Cadence intends to obtain a Special Protocol Assessment (SPA)
from the US FDA for a pivotal Phase III study of MX-226 which is forecast to be
initiated in the first half of calendar 2005.

MX-594AN is a novel, topical antibiotic for the treatment of acne (Phase IIa completed
Q4 calendar 2001
- Phase IIb completed Q4 calendar 2003). We are currently seeking a development
& commercialization partner for MX-594AN.
